Job Description:
Cuisinarts Advanced Concepts Team is building the next generation of kitchen technologyand we are seeking a highly driven Product Design Co-Op (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) to help shape it.
You will work on breakthrough appliance platforms - translating real consumer needs into scalable, manufacturable engineering solutions. From motor systems and thermal architectures to sensors and embedded controls, youll help define how tomorrows kitchens perform.
Were looking for a technically strong, creatively curious engineer who wants to solve meaningful real-world problemsand build products that live in millions of homes.
Daily Responsibilities:
Architect the Future
Contribute to early-stage product architecture for new appliance platforms.
Develop mechanical and electrical concepts that balance performance, cost, reliability, and user experience.
Explore motor systems, heating technologies, power electronics, sensors, and control strategies.
Build & Prove
Create CAD models, engineering layouts, and proof-of-concept builds.
Prototype, test, and iteratetranslating hypotheses into functional validation.
Conduct performance benchmarking and competitive teardowns to identify white-space opportunities.
Engineer with Consumer Insight
Collaborate with Industrial Design and UX teams to ensure seamless integration of form, function, and usability.
Translate consumer pain points into measurable engineering requirements.
Identify opportunities for performance differentiation and technical storytelling.
Collaborate at Scale
Partner with global engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
Participate in design reviews and innovation checkpoints.
Present technical findings with clarity and confidence.
Job Requirements:
Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Junior, Senior, or Graduate level).
Strong fundamentals in mechanical systems, thermodynamics, electronics, or embedded systems.
Proficient in SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD); familiarity with PCB design, circuit analysis, or firmware is a plus.
Hands-on builder who enjoys prototyping, testing, and solving real-world constraints.
Curious, analytical, and energized by innovationnot just execution.
Passionate about consumer technology and how engineering elevates everyday experiences.
