Job Description:
Valitana is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to define and lead the next chapter of our marketing function. As Valitana scales its institutional client base and expands its product footprint across the structured credit ecosystem, this leader will own the marketing vision, strategy, and execution end-to-end. The VP of Marketing will set the strategic direction for brand, demand generation, events, content, and product marketing, while building the frameworks, processes, and team needed to support sustained growth.
This is a role for a marketing leader who can operate at both altitudes: shaping long-term strategy and category positioning at the executive level, and rolling up their sleeves to drive campaigns, content, and pipeline alongside the team. The VP will manage Valitana's current marketing team and will be responsible for evolving the team structure as the function matures. The individual in this role will partner closely with Executive Leadership, Sales, Product, and Client Success to align marketing investment with revenue outcomes.
Daily Responsibilities:
Define Valitana's marketing vision, narrative, and category positioning across the credit and asset management ecosystem
Build the multi-year marketing strategy and annual operating plan, including budget allocation across brand, demand, events, content, and product marketing
Establish the frameworks, KPIs, and measurement systems that connect marketing activity to pipeline, revenue, and client retention
Partner with the executive team on go-to-market strategy for new products, segments, and geographies
Sharpen Valitana's brand voice, visual identity, and market narrative to differentiate in a competitive FinTech landscape
Build Valitana's thought leadership presence across owned, earned, and paid channels including executive visibility, industry research, and analyst relations
Own messaging architecture and ensure consistency across all client-facing touchpoints
Design and scale the demand generation engine, including paid media, ABM, email, and inbound programs that drive qualified pipeline
Partner with Sales leadership to set pipeline targets, define lead handoff and qualification criteria, and operate against shared revenue goals
Build the marketing operations and analytics foundation attribution, reporting, and tech stack to enable data-driven decisions
Set the strategy for Valitana's industry presence at conferences such as Creditflux, Opal, IMN, and ABS East, as well as proprietary client events and webinars
Evolve the events program from logistics execution to a strategic pipeline and brand-building lever
Lead product marketing strategy, including positioning, launches, competitive intelligence, and sales enablement
Build a content strategy and editorial calendar that supports buyer journeys across CLO investors, managers, hedge funds, asset managers, and other client segments
Lead, develop, and grow the marketing team, beginning with the current Marketing Associate, Graphic Designer, and open Content Creator role
Build the org design and hiring plan for the next phase of growth, identifying where to invest in specialists vs. generalists
Establish team rituals, performance standards, and a culture of accountability, creativity, and craft
Job Requirements:
8+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a meaningful portion spent at SaaS or FinTech companies serving institutional or enterprise audiences
Demonstrated track record building and leading marketing functions including strategy, demand generation, brand, events, and product marketing at a high-growth company
Prior leadership experience, including hiring, developing, and structuring marketing teams
Player-coach orientation: comfortable setting strategy at the executive level and equally comfortable executing campaigns, writing briefs, and getting into the details when needed
Strong commercial instincts and a proven ability to operate against pipeline and revenue targets in close partnership with Sales
Sophisticated understanding of marketing operations, attribution, and the modern marketing tech stack (Salesforce, marketing automation, ABM, paid media platforms, analytics)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to shape and tell a compelling category narrative
Experience marketing to financial services, credit markets, or institutional investor audiences strongly preferred
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and translating ambiguity into structure
Compensation:
Compensation for this role will be $140,000 to $170,000.
