Description
Philip Morris International (PMI) is a significant international tobacco corporation that manufactures and sells cigarettes, smoke-free goods, electronic devices and accessories, and other nicotine-containing products in markets outside the United States. PMI is constructing its future on a new category of smoke-free goods that, while not entirely risk-free, are a vastly preferable alternative than continuing to smoke. The line of smoke-free IQOS products offered by PMI consists of heated tobacco and nicotine-containing vapor products. As of July 2020, PMI believes that roughly 11,2 million adult smokers around the globe have quit smoking and transitioned to PMI's heated tobacco product, which is now sold in 57 markets in important cities or countrywide under the brand name IQOS.
