Job Description:
Altus Power is seeking a highly motivated individual with the skills, experience, and aptitude to join our Diligence team as Technical Diligence Analyst. This position will report to the Director of Diligence, is an in-office position and will support efforts in evaluating and acquiring commercial-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role will assist with ensuring that potential acquisitions meet our companys standards for performance, reliability and long-term value. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, practical knowledge of solar PV technology, and experience in engineering or project management.
Working closely with internal departments including engineering, production and development teams, the Technical Diligence Analyst will play a key role in guiding projects through the diligence process. Key responsibilities include coordinating internal and external resources to conduct site inspections, assisting with the management of third-party contractors, and translating inspection findings into consistent, standardized formats to inform Capital Expensed budget development and acquisition decisions.
In addition, this individual will help design and implement new tools and procedures to streamline diligence workflows, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables for the investment and operations teams.
Daily Responsibilities:
Support technical diligence activities
Support desktop reviews
Support document organization
Collaborate with engineering, production and development teams to align diligence findings with operational requirements
Coordinate internal and external resources to conduct site inspections, including scheduling, and oversight of third-party contractors and internal field inspection engineers
Review and standardize inspection results, integrating findings into diligence reports and CapEx budget models
Assist in developing tools, templates and procedures to improve efficiency and consistency in diligence efforts
Evaluate system performance data, site conditions, and technical documentation to identify risks
Prepare clear technical recommendations for senior management and investment committees
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree, engineering preferred
Proven experience in, project management or construction management, in C&I solar preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in Company Cam and Procore a plus
Proficient in reading electrical drawings and construction plan sets
Knowledge of PV system components and industry best practices
Ability to travel periodically to sites
Ability to multitask in fast paced environment
